This is also happening to me.alot.sometimes when i use the satnav everything goes well and then i just lose it.when i check the gps viewer is says 0/10 satelites and mode: no fix. The arrow still moves but its like i am offroad and not on the roads.i thought that i might have a faulty antenna and will have to replace it! Installed it in my Golf 6 the same day hassle free, must say I love it as I also have the DVD in motion activated. The only problem I'm facing now is not having the South African maps, as the unit came with Europe maps. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IF SOMEONE COULD DIRECT ME IN SOME DIRECTION IN GETTING THE SOUTH AFRICAN MAPS. The download link is in this thread.

Am I correct in stating that you cannot update the firmware on the RNS315? Next, the only way to update the sat nav maps is to buy an SD card from VW? I do not trust the local VW dealers, so can anyone tell me what is the latest version number of the maps. I would like to double check I am buying the latest version of maps, not an old one they need to get rid of. Thanks for the information, I have rung round a couple of VW dealers & the map updates are £145.00 including VAT. This is for version 7. I wonder how often the updates come out?
